Benefit Art Auction

A highlight of the annual Porter Colloquium Gala, the benefit auction features a selection of extraordinary works by internationally renowned artists. Works by Allan Rohan Crite, Sam Gilliam, Martha Jackson-Jarvis, Renée Stout, and James Wells have been featured in past year’s programs. This year’s benefit auction promises to be the Colloquium’s most exciting yet.

The Benefit Auction, a signature part of the Colloquium Art Benefit Series, providing an incredible opportunity for collectors and patrons, both young and experienced to support the Porter Colloquium through the purchase of works of art and rare art related items. The benefit program is presented in both silent and live auction formats with works to tempt all budgets. This year’s auction will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Armour J. Blackburn Center on the campus of Howard University. Admittance to the benefit auction is included with your purchase of tickets to the Colloquium gala.
